Worth living
At miinu, we are always trying to improve in terms of sustainability, social responsibility and justice.
Today we’re going to write about sustainability. Today, miinu has the perfect CRADLE2CRADLE product. The 100% recycled nylon fiber was mainly made from marine garbage, textile remnants, for example from Gucci, and rug leftovers. Fishing nets are collected by volunteer divers from the “Healthy Seas” initiative, in which sea creatures would otherwise become entangled and die in agony. The production process can theoretically be repeated indefinitely, which is why ECONYL is recyclable and therefore not only a clever solution for sensibly processing waste and giving it a new life, but also contributes to climate targets: For the production of 10,000 tons of ECONYL®, 70,000 barrels of crude oil are saved and thus 57,100 tons of CO2 emissions are avoided.
The yarn is therefore not only convincing in terms of sustainability, but is also in no way inferior to the new nylon fiber in terms of quality.
